Quality Education

Inclusive and equitable quality education for all

About the goal

Goal 4 At META University, the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) is a strategic priority and is achieved through the introduction of a practice-oriented learning model integrated with ESG principles and digital technologies. The educational process is built on an interdisciplinary foundation and is focused on developing competencies that are in demand in the labor market. The share of educational programs incorporating ESG components exceeds 50%, while the level of digitalization of academic and administrative processes is at least 80%, ensuring accessibility, flexibility, and high quality of education.

In addition, the university implements a “Living Lab” model, within which students are actively involved in real-world projects, including hydroponics, waste recycling, environmental monitoring, and ESG startups. The level of student engagement in project-based activities exceeds 60%, providing practical training and fostering problem-solving skills in real-life contexts. The quality assurance system is supported by regular monitoring and a student satisfaction rate of no less than 80%, confirming the effectiveness of the educational model and its alignment with the requirements of the QS Sustainability Ranking.

Braille display

META University continues to develop an accessible learning environment. The university has installed a Freedom Scientific Focus 14 Blue Braille display, which helps blind and visually impaired users access and work with digital information.

The device allows users to work with computers and mobile devices without needing to see the screen. It connects via USB or Bluetooth and converts text and interface elements into Braille. The cells on the device physically raise and lower dots that users can read with their fingertips.

With the Braille display, users can read documents, messages, emails, websites, menus, and other digital content. Special keys allow them to navigate through text and interfaces, move between different pieces of information, and perform commands.

At META University, this equipment has been installed to make the digital learning environment more accessible and convenient for students with visual impairments. It enables them to independently access educational materials, work with electronic documents, and use the university’s digital resources.

Simply put, a Braille display is a kind of “screen for a blind user,” but instead of displaying images, it conveys information through raised dots that can be felt and read with the fingertips.
