Clean Water and Sanitation

Sustainable management of water and sanitation for all

Goal 6 At META University, the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) is carried out through the introduction of efficient water resource management systems and the development of applied research in the field of water security. The university implements projects focused on water quality monitoring, including laboratory analysis of microbiological indicators and compliance with sanitary standards, ensuring the safe use of water resources. In addition, solutions for optimizing water consumption are introduced, and a culture of responsible water use is promoted among students and staff.

Within the Living Lab model and research initiatives, projects are developed to improve water efficiency, including hydroponic systems that significantly reduce water consumption compared to traditional methods. Students are actively involved in these projects, with participation rates exceeding 60%. The implementation of these initiatives contributes to reducing pressure on water resources, enhancing environmental sustainability, and developing practical competencies aligned with the requirements of the QS Sustainability Ranking.

META University provides access to clean drinking water through installed filtration systems across the campus. Purified water is supplied in 19-liter bottles and is available in multiple locations, ensuring convenient access for students and staff throughout the day.
