Goal 9 At META University, the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9) is carried out through the development of research and innovation infrastructure and the integration of applied projects into both the educational process and industry collaboration. A key element is the GREEN DEAL HUB, within which projects are implemented in areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy deployment (including solar panels), resource management digitalization, and environmental monitoring. The university has adopted a Living Lab model, where the campus serves as a testing ground for sustainable solutions, including hydroponic systems, waste recycling projects, and the use of drones for environmental monitoring. Student engagement in project-based activities exceeds 60%, ensuring a strong practical orientation and the development of engineering competencies.
In addition, the university advances its digital infrastructure under the Smart University model, including the implementation of LMS, BI systems, Bitrix24, and HERO, ensuring that at least 80% of processes are digitalized and enabling data-driven management. Collaboration with industry partners is facilitated through the Industrial Council, which supports the development of academic programs, internships, and joint projects. More than 20 applied projects are implemented annually within this framework, including ESG startups, engineering developments, and technological solutions. META University thus fosters a sustainable innovation ecosystem, supporting the development of infrastructure, technology, and industry partnerships in alignment with the QS Sustainability Ranking requirements.
