Goal 14 META University contributes to the achievement of SDG 14 through the development of applied scientific projects aimed at the sustainable use of fisheries resources and reducing the pressure on aquatic ecosystems. The university is implementing a project related to the research and implementation of tilapia fish processing technologies, including the use of environmentally friendly feed and probiotic solutions, as well as monitoring water quality and growing conditions, which ensures the environmental safety and sustainability of aquaculture.

Particular attention is paid to the rational consumption of fish products and the principles of waste-free production, within the framework of which processing residues are directed to the production of meat and bone meal, which minimizes waste and introduces elements of a circular economy. The implementation of this project contributes to the development of sustainable food systems, reducing pressure on natural resources and the formation of a practical model for the responsible use of aquatic biological resources in accordance with the requirements of the QS Sustainability Ranking.
