Goal 12 META University implements SDG 12 through the adoption of a systematic model of sustainable consumption and resource management integrated into its operational activities and ESG strategy. The university has established infrastructure for waste segregation, including plastic and material recycling, and applies circular economy principles. The digitalization of processes significantly reduces resource consumption: electronic document management exceeds 90%, and overall digitalization of academic and administrative processes is at least 80%, minimizing paper use and optimizing resource efficiency.
In addition, practice-oriented projects are implemented within the Living Lab framework, including waste recycling, material reuse, hydroponics, and ESG startups aimed at reducing environmental impact. Students are actively engaged in these initiatives, with participation exceeding 60%, fostering sustainable behavior and a culture of responsible consumption. These combined measures reduce environmental impact and align with the QS Sustainability Ranking requirements.
